Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Using a 1/4 inch flat head or a phillips #2 screwdriver rotate the lock counterclockwise to the unlock position.
Lift the release latch until the system cover slides back.
Lift the cover from the system.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud highlighted in blue.
Hold the edges of the air shroud, and lift the air shroud out of the system.
Drive backplane cover
Identify the drive backplane cover highlighted in blue.
Slide the backplane cover in the direction of the arrows marked on the drive backplane cover.
Lift the backplane cover from the system.
Control panel - Left
Identify the control panel highlighted in blue.
Disconnect the control panel cable from the connector on the system board.
Lift the latch, remove the side wall bracket and slide the cable out of the clip.
Using the phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the left control panel to the system.
Unroute the left control panel cable from the side wall of the system and from the latch on the top of the system.
Hold the left control panel cable, and slide the left control panel out of the system.
Install
Control panel - Left
Identify the control panel location highlighted in blue.
Align and slide the left control panel in the slot on the system.
Route the left control panel cable through the side wall of the system and the latch on the top of the system.
Using the phillips #1 screwdriver, install the screws to secure the left control panel to the system.
Slide the cable into the clip, install the side wall bracket and close the cable latch.
Connect the left control panel cable to the connector on the system board and secure it using cable latch.
Drive backplane cover
Identify the drive backplane cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the drive backplane cover with the guide slots on the system.
Slide the drive backplane cover to the front of the system until the drive backplane cover fits into place.
Air Shroud
Identify the air shroud location highlighted in blue.
Holding the edges of the air shroud, align the tabs on the air shroud with the slots on the system.
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system and slide the system cover.
Close the system cover release latch.
Using a 1/4 inch flat head or phillips #2 screwdriver, rotate the lock clockwise to the lock position.
